The star athlete continues to shape his post-NBA career, which will be heavily media-focused (specifically acting and producing for film and TV).

 

While he battles the Golden State Warriors for the NBA championship crown this evening, watch LeBron James in a new clip from Judd Apatow's upcoming comedy feature, "Trainwreck."

 

The Universal comedy stars Amy Schumer (who also wrote the screenplay) and Bill Hader in a story about a commitment-phobic career woman who will have to face her fears when she meets a good guy, having convinced herself that monogamy wasn't possible.

 

It's set for a July 17, 2015 release.

 

LeBron James, appearing in his first feature film, actually plays himself, as wingman to Hader's good guy.

 

James' other screen projects include STARZ's half-hour scripted comedy series, "Survivor’s Remorse," which returns for a second season this summer. There's also a feature film in development which will be based on James' high school years, to be brought to life by Frank E. Flowers ("Haven," "Metro Manila"), Terence Winter ("Boardwalk Empire," "The Wolf Of Wall Street") and Rachel Winter ("Dallas Buyers Club"), with James and his manager Maverick Carter co-producing.

 

There's also a comedy feature titled "Ballers," in which he'll co-star alongside Kevin Hart, which is set up at Universal Pictures, with Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg producing. James will star in the film with Hart, who will play a man who really wants to be known as something other than the brother of an NBA superstar, played by LeBron James, and gets his chance to prove himself when he and some friends attend a fantasy basketball camp in Miami. Naturally, hijinx and hilarity ensue.
